The #NoMoreNoShows campaign hopes to raise awareness of large amount of no shows and late guests; which is said to be costing the hospitality industry £16billion a year in lost revenue. It’s also estimated that around 25% of people with online bookings don’t turn up at their chosen bar or restaurant.
After the efforts the hospitality industry have put in to ensure guests return to a safe environment no shows in this climate could have a devastating effect on the industry.
The more positive side of this is that all the really great people (who are the vast majority) are trying so hard to show up on time and to communicate any travel problems or delays with restaurants and are generally being incredibly supportive!
Many people tend to feel embarrassed about cancelling. We want to say it’s OK to cancel. we understand plans change and hope to see you another time.
